Just Do the Work!!!
Lately I have been dealing with the massive amount of work that I have to do. I say massive because it feels like it to me but I don’t know in reality that it is massive. Let’s just say I have a lot of work to do J. I have been thinking Lord I need some help if I am going to do the things that you have placed in my heart to do. I work 5 days a week but I am trying to get GraceDays off the ground and still fulfill my obligations at my church and by the way I am also in school. Yes these things I added to my schedule with good reason because if I wait until I have the free time I will never get it all done. So I pack my life with all of this work and I say Lord how am I going to get it all done by myself LORD HELP, SEND ME SOME HELP.
But this morning while I was in prayer and I was reading my devotional, it came to me. I have to produce the fruit I can not be so concerned about the lack of help right now but I just have to begin the work and God will send the help. You see if God see my hand actually working and not complaining then He will see that I am committed regardless of the circumstances. See when He called me to develop GraceDays He told me to do the work and He will provide the increase. That is how God works lets look at Paul’s words in I Corinthians 3 the church was divided on which preacher they liked the best, who they got saved under but this is what Paul said “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.” Paul planted, meaning he did some work then Apollos came and did some work but ultimately God gave the increase, so it doesn’t matter who does what but as along as the work is started because if God does not increase it and add His anointing on it, it won’t produce fruit anyway.
So what I want you to know is do not be discouraged by the amount of work that you have or the lack of help that you have just start planting. Then soon God will send some laborers who will help water what you have planted and then ultimately God will increase every good work. My friend God just wants us to work and make a difference in someone’s life. So be encouraged today that your laborer is not in vain, you are a laborer in a plenteous harvest. God sees the work that you are doing and He will reward you for your faithfulness.
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
